GFA WOMEN LEAGUE

     Kercem Ajax won the last match of the campaign which was the direct clash against SK Victoria Wonderers.  They were superior to their opponents and opened a two goal lead in the first half.  The Wonderers tried to come back but only scored once.  Kercem Ajax made sure of the League with their their goal of the match.  The captain was presented the trophy by GFA President Mr Joe Cordina.

     This season for the first time in the GFA's history the women's league was organized.  Five teams participated in this first ever Woman's League which were Kercem Ajax, SK Victoria Wonderers, Munxar Falcons, Nadur Youngsters and Xaghra United. 

    Kercem Ajax and SK Victoria W. dominated this league and won all the matches against the other teams.  Therefore the last direct clash was determinant to win the league.  The direct match of the first round of the campaign  was won by Kercem by 8-5 score.  The second direct clash was won by the Wonderers 4-3.
